Founder and Chief Investment Officer
David Filippone Jr. is the founder and managing partner of Scipio Asset Management. He attended Harvard University, HES. His academic foundation is complemented by a minor in Intelligence and National Security from the University of Central Florida's School of Politics, Security, and International Affairs. Prior to founding Scipio Asset Management, David served as CEO of Drusus Inc., where he led bespoke commodities trading in crude oil, jet fuel, and minerals. Under his leadership, the firm implemented strategic market analysis and innovative trading strategies, significantly outperforming benchmarks. His career also includes roles as a valuation analyst at Liquid Prop Group, where he contributed to $50M in real estate investment decisions, and as an SBA business analyst at Spin Capital, where he supported underwriting and due diligence processes. David's passion for investing began early and has driven his deep commitment to research-intensive, value oriented investment strategies. He has been actively involved in the finance and business community, participating in organizations such as the Business & Investment Group and the Young Investors Club. Currently, David resides in Florida and maintains a focus on delivering superior risk-adjusted returns through his leadership at Scipio Asset Management.
